Casinos Employees Sues for Smoking Damages

Some casino workers speak they are losers in New Jersey's battle to ban smoking indoors. "A high-quality greater part of the time, I'm encircled in a cloud of smoke," said Rennich, who does not smoke. "Even if it's a no smoking board, it doesn't aid. "It really is organization at its most horrible," said casino industry critic Tom Grey, decision-making manager of the National Coalition against Legalized Gambling.

An 8% toll on casino revenue netted $401 million last year for state programs benefiting senior citizens and the disabled, and the state gets about $60 million more from other taxes on the gambling halls. Other lawmakers said damaging the casino industry was a legitimate concern. Casino workers, meanwhile, will continue enduring the secondhand smoke. The trial would begin next month.
